Adventures with Abuela
Last night at our St. Pius site, the P.A.C.T Center hosted a "Meet The Author" event for our families with Adventures with Abuela author Virginia Martinez!
Virginia was born and raised in Chicago and currently lives in Oak Park, IL. Since becoming a grandmother in 2019, her grandson Rio Ignacio has become the joy of her life, leading her to document their adventures together on social media.
In November 2021 she published her first book, Adventures with Abuela, Let's Go to the Zoo and in 2022, Adventures with Abuela, Let's go to the Shedd Aquarium
Her decision to write this series of bilingual children's books comes with dual goals of providing interesting stories for children as well as providing parents, grandparents and caregivers with information that will help them access the many wonderful parks, zoos, and museums the Chicago metropolitan.
