Pre-K Teacher’s Assistant

Place: Patricia Makris Center 

Position: Grant Works Site

Job Location: 1447 S. 50th Ct., Cicero, IL 60804

Education Level: Current State Para-Pro License. Or willingness to apply with center assistance (Requires 60 College credits or test option through ISBE w/out credits).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English

  • Basic computer skills

  • Some classroom experience preferred

  • Work physical and background check with fingerprinting will be required

Duties:

  • 35 hours per week (7:45 - 2:45 Preferred, can adjust 8:00 - 3:00)

  • Position is Mid-August to Mid-June (Summers off or opportunity for summer position, if interested)

  • Will assist teacher with all classroom duties

  • Sick time off: 5 days upon hire; 10 days at completion of 1st year; 15 days at completion of 3 years.

  • Personal time off: 2 days upon completion of 1st year.

  • Bereavement upon hire: 3 paid bereavement days
