January Family-Child Day

Thank you to the parents who came and joined us for our January Family-Child Day in Riverside Drive's Head Start Classroom.

Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Xochitl had three different developmentally appropriate activities set-up throughout the classroom.

The activities included mixing colors, cutting heart shapes, making sensory bottles with oil and water, and they made goop with glitter, exploring different textures.

"A young child’s relationships and interactions with the important adults in their life has a great impact on early brain development and ongoing learning. For most children, family members are the primary caregivers who provide this important foundation. When children enter preschool programs, strong partnerships between home and school can support positive family relationships and promote learning at home." NAEYC.
